Innovation at its peak, when solar panels become sturdy enough to withstand 300 kilograms of human weight walking over them. Walkable solar panels by Plato Solar offer power generation in different sizes.
The Hungarian green tech company, Platio Solar has recently announced a new series of walkable PV panels. According to the company, the new series of products can handle a load of around 300 kilograms. The modules are available in 2 power outputs: 23.65 W and 59.68 W. Moreover, they can be integrated with wood, ceramic, stone, and wood-plastic composite floorings.
Both panels have 8 millimeters of extra-clear tempered glass, a sandblasted surface with coating, and an IP68 enclosure. The custom-designed anodized aluminum alloy is used to make the frame.
The company stated, “Solar Deck transforms outdoor areas such as terraces, rooftops, marinas, and event spaces into efficient, energy-generating surfaces. It is a terrace covering solution that can be integrated with wood-plastic composite (WPC), wood, stone, or ceramic floorings by installing on the same supporting structure.”

The company further stated, “The anti-slip surface is highly resistant to load, impact, and scratches and offers reliable UV protection, ensuring long-term durability. The return on investment (ROI) for the Platio Solar Deck system can be as low as five years, depending on location and usage.”
