Solar systems backed with powerful batteries and inverters serve as an ultimate power resource. People are nowadays installing PV panels not just on their roofs but also on their balcony. Understanding the need of the hour, China’s TSUN introduces 1024 Wh DC-Coupled Residential Battery, particularly ideal for balcony solar systems. With its modular design, it offers power capacity expansion up to 4,096 Wh.
Recently, TSUN, the Chinese inverter manufacturer, has released a new DC-coupled residential battery, TSOL-B1000. According to the company, this is an ideal solution for houses that have balcony solar systems. It is suitable for both outdoor and indoor environments. Equipped with cells provided from CATL, a Chinese battery giant, it also has an IP55 enclosure protection rating.
A microinverter with input power of 800 MW and AC output power of 1,000 W is also included with the system to maximize its power. The reported lifespan of TSUN’s battery is more than 6,000 cycles. It operates in a range of 0° C to 45° C during the charge. And during discharge it easily operates on -10° C to 45° C.
According to the company, “The new system has a modular stacking design for flexible expansion. It has an individual capacity of 1,024 Wh, and users can stack up to four expansion modules, resulting in a total capacity of 4,096 Wh, sufficient to meet the power needs of a 3–5-person household.”
