DHL and Envision team up for sustainable partnership aiming to advance sustainability innovations in logistics and energy. Their main focus is on sustainable aviation fuel.

Both the companies highlighted that SAF will be the key focus of the new partnership. For advanced decarbonization of the air transport sector, they will be looking for ways to renewable feedstock technology and sources.

DHL’s Sustainability Roadmap includes a series of environmental sustainability and decarbonization commitments. DHL aims to achieve a minimum of 30% of Sustainability Aviation Fuel (SAF) blending for its air transportation by 2030.

Additional areas covered under the partnership include green energy. For this, Envision will be supporting DHL by providing comprehensive energy transition solutions through green power. This will further help DHL in achieving its energy goals in logistics.

Together, both companies will explore the joint development of the Net Zero Industrial & Logistic Park. It aims to foster sustainable solutions through various industries. This industrial park will be fully powered by comprehensive clean energy solutions. It will also promote the electric power system. Moreover, will help customers transition to green energy by creating green industrial ecosystems.

Shanghai-based Envision (founded in 2007) provides renewable energy system solutions for governments, institutions and global enterprises. Their solutions include smart energy storage, green hydrogen and wind turbines.

In an extensive initiative, air company and air force collaborate to create jet fuel from just air and water.

Envision has already launched the Net Zero Industrial Park in parts of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. As DHL and Envision team up for sustainable partnership, global scale expansion of Net Zero Industrial Park is underway.

Chairman of Envision Group, Zhang Lei, said, “The transportation sector, mainly sustainable fuel, represents a critical frontier in the transition to zero-carbon emissions but is currently trailing targets largely due to high costs associated with green hydrocarbons and their derivatives. Envision aims to address this cost barrier through systematic technological innovation, revolutionizing the production of SAF products, and facilitating the large-scale industrial development of this “new oil” to support global efforts towards carbon neutrality.”

CEO at DHL Group, Tobias Meyer said, “The partnership framework with Envision represents a further step towards global sustainability leadership for DHL Group. By leveraging our unparalleled logistics expertise and unique global network, we are committed to supporting Envision in their international expansion and logistical challenges. Together, we will lead the change in integrating green technologies and optimizing supply chains, setting new benchmarks for sustainable innovation and global environmental impact through the energy transition.”
