Enel O’Higgins’ subsidiary has finished a solar power project at Geofrut’s facilities in Chile. This is a big step forward in the direction of using renewable energy. It has an advanced solar energy system with 683 panels, each with a 575 Wp (watt-peak) capacity. Also, 5 inverters with a total power of 300 kW make up the installation.

Every year, the system should make around 665 MWh of electricity. With real-time monitoring technology built into these new energy solutions, Geofrut is expected to use 10.6% less energy each year. This technology is great for making things run more smoothly overall.

The project is the 5th time that Enel Pilares Verdes and the Las Cabras municipality have worked together. Showcasing their dedication to promoting clean energy both in production and consumption. The way they work is based on the ESCO model. It is a helpful way to develop energy project financing and implementation.

With the ESCO model, the energy system produces will cover the costs of the solar project. Moreover, the payments are spread out over a number of months. As part of this model, the company designs the project and handles the regulatory steps. It also provides materials, installs them, and starts them up. On top of that, the project will get regular maintenance services to ensure its proper working over the time.

Enel O’Higgins’ Empowers Geofrut in Chile’s sustainable energy landscape project that shows Enel O’Higgins’s commitment to use environmentally friendly methods. In addition, this project fits with a growing trend in many fields to use renewable energy, showing important steps toward protecting the environment and becoming energy independent.
