Electrify America offers discounted EV Charging to Lyft Drivers after they have extended their partnership. They can benefit from discounts offered by EA’s extensive DC charging network across the United States. This partnership speeds up the adoption of electric vehicles by lowering initial expenses and offering cheap charging choices. Discounts are applicable after getting a code from Lyft and enrolling through the Electrify America app. Lyft’s Express Drive program gains an additional benefit from these charging discounts.

Electrify America (EA) has extended its collaboration with Lyft, offering discounted charging rates to Lyft drivers. Lyft drivers who use electric vehicles can now take advantage of discounts on EA chargers located throughout the United States.

With a presence in 46 states across the US as well as the District of Columbia, EA runs one of the biggest DC charging networks available. The company is dedicated to enhancing the EV infrastructure. They have invested billions of dollars in advancing the technology and extending their network to guarantee that range anxiety is no longer a concern.

EA is taking steps to accelerate the adoption of EVs by providing a range of discounts to customers who buy new BEVs from various automakers, including Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, and VinFast. In addition, the company occasionally provides discounts during travel high-traffic periods and is actively incorporating sustainable grid technologies, such as large-scale solar farms. Lyft drivers can benefit from discounts offered to a large extent.

In 2019, Electrify America joined forces with Lyft to provide promotional charging options for drivers using EVs rented through Lyft’s Express Drive initiative. Both companies have announced that they are expanding access to charging discounts while also increasing the number of chargers available to more drivers.

Discount Extended to All Lyft EVs

Through its Electrify America Pass program, the charging network has extended its collaboration by providing Lyft EV drivers with tiered discounts. The more customers drive within the loyalty program, the greater their discount on DC charging will become. The additional benefits to drivers with discounted RV charging are mentioned below.

All drivers

  • A discount of $0.11/kWh for sites featuring energy-based pricing
  • $0.07/min for 1-350 kW charging
  • $0.03/min for 1-90 kW for charging sites featuring time-based pricing

Erin Gray, Lyft product director, spoke about the expanded charging collaboration with EA, “Upfront costs and access to affordable charging continue to be two of the biggest challenges drivers face when transitioning to electric vehicles.”

“By becoming the first rideshare company to team up with Electrify America, we’re further attacking those barriers head on. Drivers could potentially save hundreds of dollars on charging per year, in addition to the money they would already save on maintenance, by making the switch to EVs. It’s a win for drivers and a win for our environment,” Director Gray added.
