Safran Aircraft Engines installed solar powered carports at GMR Aerospace Industrial Park in Hyderabad. It has 884 panels producing output of around 478 kWp.
Working with Delhi-based Enerture Technologies Pvt. LTD (EPC), Safran Aircraft Engines Hyderabad Pvt Ltd installed solar carports. EPC stated that the dual-functionality of the carport of providing shade for vehicles and harnessing energy from the sun offers a perfect blend of sustainability and innovation.

Highlights of Solar Powered Carports on Safran Aircraft Engines Facility
- Installed at the GMR Aerospace Industrial Park in Hyderabad, the system has a capacity of 478 kWp.
- The facility has 884 panels with a capacity of 540 Wp each.
- As mentioned in the project details, the system features Mono-PERC half-cut cells.
- Solar modules are manufactured by Longi and 4 on-grid inverters are provided by SOFAR.
- As per its developers, the solar-powered carport house is capable of reducing 600 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
- Additionally, Safran Aircraft Engines installed solar powered carports can generate around 0.82 million units of power annually.
