About the Founder and the Beginning
Omer Enbar, the co-founder and COO of Sensibo, once had a gruesome experience when he returned to a scorching apartment after riding a long way back on his bike.
At that time, using an old laptop and some coding, he cleverly rigged an IR blaster to activate his AC. All it took was a simple email with the subject line AC on to set his cooling system in motion. Now, just before embarking on his bike ride home, he could effortlessly switch on his AC. It was until 2013 when he was discussing climate change with his friend on an article that was based on effects of air conditioners on CO2 emissions and energy.
Then he was reminded about his home-made project he did with his AC. Omer and his friend Ran Roth joined hands to handcraft the initial Sensibo prototypes, marking the beginning of their journey as co-founders of Sensibo. After extensive testing on friends and family, they refined the concept to perfection. In 2014, they officially established Sensibo through a successful crowdfunding campaign. Sensibo has become a global brand with a significant impact on creating a cleaner planet and more comfortable homes.
