Witnessing the rapid demand of EV and shortage of charging stations, companies are slowly entering the charging market too. Vietnam’s EV Maker VinFast enters Global Electric Charging Sector and established V-Green. It aims to expand globally to 50 countries and consider expanding the services to other electric vehicle manufacturers.

VinFast, a Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer recently announced the establishment of V-Green Global Charging Station Company. The company developed a charging infrastructure that is ideal for VinFast vehicles.

V-Green is in its initial phase and will directly search for partners and land to establish and expand the charging network. To provide better charging services to VinFast EV owners, it will be cooperating with other charging companies. V-Green is also considering expanding charging services to other EV manufacturers.

Nguyen Duc Thanh, CEO of V-Green, said, “The decision by VinFast’s Founder to establish V-Green is a strategic step to globally support and promote company’s sustainable development. Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong’s willingness to use his personal assets to support V-Green demonstrates this commitment. It reduces the company’s infrastructure investment needs and provides maximum support for the EV manufacturer’s rapid development. This affirms a strong determination to promote green transportation in Vietnam and worldwide.”

Vietnam’s EV maker VinFast enters global electric charging sector and according to the announcement, they will expand to around 50 countries in 2024. They are not just aiming for key markets like Canada, Europe and US, but also to Asian countries like India, Thailand, Indonesia, and Philippines. The company is also entering Middle East and African markets with Oman, Ghana, and Nigeria.
