Recently, GROUNDTRUTH debuted the world’s first carbon-neutral backpack that captures CO2 emissions to increase its strength. Made from 123 recycled PET bottles, this bag is 40% stronger than virgin plastic and 100% water proof. Designed in collaboration with survivalist Ed Stafford, this product’s durability is indisputable.

The dubbed 38L Hybrid Duffle Pack by GROUNDTRUTH features an impressive list of capabilities. With a shape-shifting design you can convert it from backpack to duffle mode.

It has a 100% storm proof design with fabric made from 123 recycled plastic bottles. If you wonder if this is all then let me tell you the main attraction of this backpack is its capability to capture CO2. Yes, this backpack can capture carbon dioxide, which makes it carbon neutral.

Ed Stafford is a renowned English survivalist and explorer who collaborated in designing the backpack. Stafford holds the Guinness World Record for walking the length of the Amazon River.

So, if this 38L backpack is ideal for him then it can suit your lifestyle quite easily. The sleek design of this backpack makes it ideal for use in urban settings. Made from recycled plastic bottles, this backpack proves the possibility to build sustainable and hyperfunctional products from waste.

The hyperfunctional features of this product are rooted in its hybrid design, which seamlessly transforms from a side duffle to a backpack, as well as a handheld style. It has a detachable duffle style shoulder strap, and 2 side-handles. It also has a semi-detachable backpack harness with stabilizers making carrying more easily.

But you can carry it like a suitcase once you tuck all the straps. To use it like a duffle, take out the duffle style strap paired with a secure waist belt if you are carrying heavy items.

GROUNDTRUTH offers a 10-year warranty on their bag. The yarn for exterior materials is made from recycled PET bottles. For this purpose, bottles are collected, treated and shredded into thin strands then woven into yarns.

A durable textile with ripstop weave and 6000 ballistic property is achieved from this weaved yarn. This high-performance fabric is waterproof and a triangular ripstop weave attaches together the bag’s panel.

This prevents spitting, tearing, and fraying of the backpack. The bag has YKK lockable zippers that keep the content inside the bag dry and safe.

With its 38 liter capacity you can carry your 16” laptop in its exterior fleece-lined laptop compartment. Its other two compartments open in a clamshell style.

It has 4 exterior front lash pockets and a top access pocket in which you can store your EDC. It also features a dedicated keychain and bottle holders on each side that can hold up to 1 liter bottle on each side.

The interior lining of the bag is made from 100% recycled fish nets without using any dye. The recycled plastic hardware makes it possible to capture CO2 and this makes it 40% stronger than virgin plastic.

Textile is coated with water-based coating and zero VOCs. Lastly, this bag is cabin friendly, and you can get to choose from 2 color options – Ice Sheet Blue and ECO-X Black at a discounted price of just $249.

Wow, such features at this price, I am intrigued. Now with the world’s first carbon-neutral backpack that captures CO2 emissions to increase its strength you can do your part in reducing CO2 from the atmosphere.
