Zoomo and EAV partnered to provide a wider range four wheeled eco friendly e-cargo bikes to replace vans. Zoomo is a platform that provides micromobility services with the goal of “making every urban mile electric”. Zoomo deals in different types of electric vehicles such as e-bikes, e-mopeds, and e-cargo bikes. They can monitor their fleets with telemetric systems.

Zoomo recently announced its partnership with EAV, a 4-wheeled cargo e-bike manufacturer. The company aims to further expand its vehicles available on Zoomo platform. Package delivery in cities could be done by cargo e-bikes with van-like rear ends instead of delivery vans congesting the streets. With this already being followed in many European cities, it could now spread around the globe because of Zoomo and EAV partnership.

The cargo bike by EAV may not have the same appearances as those of E-cargo bikes that you are aware of. The electric cargo bikes will replace traditional vans as it is a combination of e-bike operation and cargo bike space. Yes, EAV cargo bikes have pedals, a mid-drive motor, and handlebar along with 2 cubic meters (70 cubic feet) of rear storage space.

The bike is capable of carrying 330 lb. (150 kilograms) of cargo in one go. It is expected to replace many cargo vans used for last-minute delivery. Plus, it is capable of achieving the task using a smaller vehicle that can easily fit into a bike lane.

EAV cargo bikes are big for bicycle deliveries but need much less space than cargo vans or box trucks. The potential of this cargo e-bike model to replace the millions of vans that cause congestion in cities worldwide is immense.

The main purpose of the design of eco friendly e-cargo urban delivery bikes was to enhance the ease of commercial deliveries in urban areas by using cycle lanes and moving comfortably even through crowded areas with pedestrians. This would ultimately lead to more deliveries in a shorter time frame.

By becoming EAV’s Official Fleet Partner, Zoomo will broaden its product portfolio. In addition to their maintenance guarantee and fleet management software, EAV’s line of vehicles will now be paired with Zoomo’s financing option.

Zoomo operates in the US, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The company offers solutions to many large urban logistics like Amazon, Deliveroo, Domino’s, Doordash, FedEx, Flink, Getir, Gopuff, Hived, JustEat Takeaway, Pizza Hut, Purolator, UberEats, and more.
