Camping is fun but with a power generator it becomes perfect. To make you experience more intriguing, Yves Béhar and Yoshino partnered to design solid-state portable power stations & generators. Despite weighing 50 percent less than other stations, they are durable and water-resistant. The user interface is inspired by nature and features a bee and honeycomb logo. They are suitable for outdoor activities and emergencies, with multiple ports and the option to recharge using solar panels.

Fuseproject, in collaboration with Yoshino Power, has created a revolutionary series of solid-state portable power stations. The partnership between Yves Béhar and Yoshino has resulted in a remarkable four-unit product range. Fuseproject’s expertise in industrial design, user interface, brand identity, and packaging has brought these power stations to life. Instead of resembling ordinary toolboxes or pieces of equipment, they have crafted these products to truly embody a stylish lifestyle. The design team, in collaboration with Yoshino, proudly states that these innovative power stations weigh an impressive 50 percent less than their counterparts.

In addition to their collaboration on Yoshino’s solid-state portable power stations, Fuseproject took the design to another level by creating a custom user interface. They didn’t settle for an off-the-shelf solution; instead, they developed their own unique design.

The process started with crafting a new logo that could become the new symbol of Yoshino. Embracing the outdoor-lifestyle concept as the perfect theme, the design team drew inspiration from bees and their intricate honeycombs to create an iconic representation of Yoshino’s solid-state portable power stations.

Yves Béhar and Fuseproject have transformed the bee’s shape into a captivating hexagon, symbolizing nature’s beauty, tireless effort, and unstoppable vitality. This innovative design can be seen throughout the product, from the venting ports to the carrying strap attachments, base pads, and the stunning UI design.

According to Fuseproject, the Yoshino team fully entrusted them with the task of reinventing the design and brand of a battery power station. They took inspiration from outdoor recreation and lifestyle for inspiration. The portable power stations use matte and muted green and gray tones as the main colors.

The selection of these colors for Yoshino was deliberate, aiming to set it apart from the vibrant and highly technical color schemes commonly found in the battery and power tool category. In addition, a metal handle was incorporated as a bold contrast to the painted finishes often seen on competing products, resulting in a strong visual representation of durability and luxury.

Yoshino’s solid-state portable power stations are ideal for backyard movie nights, off-road camping, remote working, and emergencies because they provide instant energy when needed.

About the Product

Instead of using flammable liquid electrolytes and conventional lithium batteries, the brand has used solid electrolytes in their four products. They claim that these solid-state batteries not only provide considerably higher energy densities, but also offer increased power and enhanced safety measures during usage, storage, and transportation.

The aesthetically pleasing mellow-green shade, along with the ingenious metal handle that seamlessly wraps around the shell, adds a touch of elegance and practicality. Furthermore, the power stations are equipped with a shatter-proof and water-resistant interface, intelligently protected by the trim of the faceplate or the handlebars.

They have a built-in LED light, as well as AC, DC, and USB outputs. These stations can power gadgets and keep devices charged while on the go. Additionally, they can be recharged from 0 to 80% in less than an hour.

Yoshino Solid-State Battery Cells Passed various USA Lab Safety Testing as mentioned below:

  • Nail Penetration Test
  • Thermal Runaway Test
  • Short Circuit Test

Too Many Ports

The power stations come with various ports around 11 ports depending on the model. This allows users to conveniently charge multiple appliances, electronics, and panels simultaneously. Moreover, if users have solar panels while they are on the move, they can also recharge the power stations using them. Yoshino’s website now showcases the captivating bee and honeycomb logo designed by Yves Béhar and Fuseproject, and offers a diverse collection of robust portable power stations for users to choose from.
