As per reports, Zingbus and NHEV collaborate on an E-mobility project to encourage the use of electric buses within the intercity routes. This is an EoDB pilot project for a cooperative e-mobility project aimed at assisting private diesel bus operators in transitioning to accepting and cooperating with electric vehicles.
Zingbus is a Gurugram-based business that wishes to make intercity bus service easier by handling everything from ticketing to assuring a decent customer experience and safety requirements on a single platform. Zingbus full-stack technology-enabled fleet of intercity buses promises a standardized experience at an accessible price. With a fleet of over 350 buses, Zingbus currently serves 500+ cities in 17 states in North, West, and South India.
Zingbus conducted a comparison test between electric buses and diesel buses. Zingbus predicts the vehicles to be more lucrative after a successful pilot, with a 15-20% reduction in operating costs. The success of the pilot will now encourage bus owners to purchase electric buses and transition to green mobility for a more sustainable future.
As per the Co-Founder and CEO of Zingbus, Prashant Kumar, The transport sector is undergoing a massive upheaval, driven by the desire to shift towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. E-Mobility has become an appealing option, particularly for public transit. The National Highway for Electric Vehicles is playing a critical role in boosting the adoption of electric buses by establishing an enabling atmosphere for private fleet operators, and Zingbus will be the essential spark for the growing initiative.

As Zingbus and NHEV (National Highway for Electric Vehicles) collaborate on an E-mobility project to encourage the use of electric buses it will allow them to purchase electric buses at a 30% lower upfront cost. NHEV and Zingbus will collaborate to deliver enablers like as Battery-as-a-Subscription (BaaS), Roadside Assistance (RSA), Minimum Guaranteed (MG) reservations, and so on.
